About Me

I'm continually inspired by the resilience of people – their courage to face challenges, heal, and grow. It's this strength that motivates me and keeps me grounded in my work as a therapeutic counsellor.

My professional journey began in the publishing industry, where I recruited graduates taking their first steps into working life. From there, I moved into HR and operational roles, supporting individuals within fast-paced corporate environments. Throughout my career, one thing has remained constant: a deep interest in people and a desire to support their development and wellbeing.

After 18 years in business and then raising a family, I chose to follow a long-held calling. I spent five years training as a therapeutic counsellor, shifting my focus fully toward supporting individuals through life’s challenges – whether that’s navigating everyday stress, anxiety, depression, trauma, bereavement, or periods of significant change.

In addition to my work with clients, I’ve also trained as a Clinical Supervisor. I now have the privilege of supporting other professionals in the field, offering a reflective and supportive space where therapists can grow in confidence, navigate their clinical work, and continue developing their own unique practice.

Whether I’m working with clients or supervisees, my aim is always to offer a compassionate, grounded presence – walking alongside people as they make sense of their experiences and find their way forward.

I have experience working with the Teamwork Trust charity, Northampton Rape Crisis, Service Six, the NHS for CABS (Children and Adolescent Bereavement Services) and with children and young people in school settings. I have a private practice with over 2,000 hours of experience, working with adults, children and young people.    I am based between North Northamptonshire and South Leicestershire.

What I offer

Private Therapeutic Counselling

I offer counselling from my home-based practice, either in person, online, or over the phone – making therapy accessible in the way that feels most comfortable for you. My approach is client-centred, which means I meet you where you are, without judgment, and with genuine acceptance and respect.

Together, we’ll explore your experiences at your own pace. I’m here to walk alongside you – supporting you as you build awareness, develop coping strategies, and reconnect with your inner strength. I believe that you are the expert on your own life, and my role is to create a safe, supportive space where you can find the answers that are already within you.

Our sessions are your time, entirely focused on you and what you need. I won’t direct the process or offer quick fixes – instead, I’ll work with you to uncover what feels meaningful and right for you on your therapeutic journey.

I have a wide range of experience working with (but not limited to) low self-esteem, confidence challenges, grief and loss, anxiety, depression, anger, bullying, trauma, domestic and sexual abuse, and everyday life difficulties.

I attend many continual professional development courses to ensure that I am constantly up to date on my own learning.

I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Reg: 383663), I have fortnightly supervision in line with my ethical requirements and am insured with Holistic Insurance.

Clinical Supervision

I'm a Clinical Supervisor and Client-Focussed Therapist with a deep commitment to supporting the growth and development of therapists at all stages of their professional journey. I work using the Seven-Eyed Model of supervision, which allows us to explore the many layers of therapeutic work – from the client’s process to the wider systems we’re all part of.

My approach is integrative, meaning I draw on a range of therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of both clients and supervisees. I believe supervision should be a collaborative, reflective space where you feel safe, supported, and challenged in a constructive way. Whether you're newly qualified or have years of experience, my aim is to nurture your confidence, clinical awareness, and ongoing professional and ethical development.

Supervision with me is about more than case management – it's a space to grow, explore, and stay connected to the heart of your work.

My commitment to you

Life is challenging and whilst you are doing the best you can, sometimes you need to reach out for some support, which shows commitment to make positive changes, self-care and courage.

I will work with you, at your pace, on the issues that you are struggling to make sense of or cope with.  I will support you unconditionally on your counselling journey.
