I am constantly in awe of the strength of human beings, of their courage and desire to heal and grow. This is what motivates and humbles me in my work.
My career began in publishing, recruiting graduates starting out in their careers. I spent many years in HR and operational roles that supported staff in the corporate world. People have always been at the heart of my work. After 25 years in business and raising a family, it was time to focus on my vocation and spend 5 years training as a therapeutic counsellor; fully turning my way of being and attention to the needs of people struggling with day to day life, adversity, trauma, bereavement, anxiety and depression and the many challenging experiences that affect their lives.
I have experience working with the Teamwork Trust charity, Northampton Rape Crisis, Service Six and within the NHS for CABS (Children and Adolescent Bereavement Services). I have a private practice with over 1,500 hours experience, working with adults, children and young people. I am based between North Northamptonshire and South Leicestershire.

I work face to face, from my home office, online and on the telephone, making counselling accessible in whichever way suits you best. I work with my clients with a person-centred approach to counselling which means that I will accept you as you are, without judgement. I will walk alongside you as you explore your experiences, supporting you as you build awareness, coping strategies and become empowered, to find the answers within yourself.
The space I offer you is your time, for you. I will not direct your sessions or tell you what to do as I believe that you are the expert on yourself. I hope to have the privilege of helping you with what you need from your therapeutic journey.
I work with many issues, including but not limited to; self-esteem and reduced confidence, grief, loss, anxiety, depression, anger, bullying, domestic and sexual violence, trauma and common day to day life problems. I attend many continual professional development courses to ensure that I am constantly up to date on my own learning.
I am registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (Reg: 383663), I have fortnightly supervision in line with my ethical requirements and am insured with Holistic Insurance.
